This month, to celebrate summer diving season, we journey back to the Republic of Malta, where we held Rebreather Forum 4 in 2023. Located in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, the storied archipelago lays at the crossroads of one of the richest troves of submerged cultural heritage on the planet—read shipwrecks, aircraft, and human artifacts—making it a Mecca for wreck divers and history buffs alike.
But that’s not all. Though many tekkies are aware of the islands’ amazing wreck diving, few are aware that Gozo offers a range of unique world class cave dives from breathtaking beginner-friendly caverns, to serious technical cave dives. Couple the diving with Malta’s rich culture, museums, and nightlife, and you’re arguably talking about the penultimate tech diving destination. Are you ready to dive in?
