InDEPTH Adds a Sales Director to the MIX
PRESS RELEASE
June 2023— Now in its fifth year of operation, InDEPTH, the only English-speaking publication dedicated to technical and mission-oriented diving, is boosting its sales and marketing efforts in its continuing quest to better reach and represent the global tech community.
“We want to be the #1 Must-Read publication for tech and mission-oriented divers, explorers and diving professionals, and the #1 Go-To platform for brands wanting to reach this market. We’re the ONLY tech diving magazine on the planet!” said InDEPTH co-founder and Editor-in-Chief Michael Menduno/M2, who published aquaCORPS Journal (1990-1996), which helped usher technical diving into the mainstream.
Accordingly, InDEPTH is pleased to announce that Gözde Akbayir has joined the team as the Sales and Marketing Director. Based in Malta, the Turkish-born PADI Trimix, Rebreather, and Master Instructor, cave diver and five-star dive center owner, brings over 15 years of diving industry management experience, and an MBA, to InDEPTH.
Akbayir served as the Try-Dive Manager at Rebreather Forum 4 in Malta last April, and is working with the team to expand InDEPTH’s social media channels to include Facebook, Instagram, Linked in and Twitter (please like below), and revamp InDEPTH’s advertising program.
“I am thrilled to join the talented team at InDEPTH as the Sales and Marketing Director. With our expanded social media presence and revamped advertising program, we will create unparalleled opportunities for tech brands. Together, we will drive the magazine’s global growth and establish it as the ultimate destination for the tech and mission-oriented diving community!” Gözde explained.
InDEPTH’s new ad program will be able to accommodate tech and tech-facing brands, from small to large, including new social media and content options. The magazine, which averages 18-20k readers a month, will also be adding a directory for dive centers and instructors.
In addition, Akbayir will be helping to launch InDEPTH’s new website with a new InDEPTH URL later this year. “Our new InDEPTH URL will help us to broaden our community reach. But our unwavering dedication to insightful and thought-provoking content will remain unchanged.” Gozde said.
