Halcyon Sidemount Receives CE Approval

July 6, 2023—Halcyon Dive Systems, a leading manufacturer of the highest quality diving equipment, is proud to announce that three wings have recently obtained or have updated CE approval and are now available in Europe. These three products are the Zero Gravity Sidemount BC, the updated JJ CCR wing with greater lift capacity, and the new doubles Legend wing. Each of these products has been designed and engineered to meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and safety and has undergone rigorous testing to ensure that they meet all European safety and quality standards.

The Zero Gravity Sidemount BC is Halcyon’s latest system for sidemount diving. The Zero Gravity Sidemount BC is made from top quality materials and features several innovative design features that make it highly versatile and easy to use. These features include a modular design that allows for easy customization, a low profile that reduces drag and improves buoyancy control, and a comfortable and ergonomic harness that ensures a secure and comfortable fit.

The JJ CCR Wing is a high-performance diving wing for closed-circuit rebreather (CCR) use. The JJ CCR Wing was previously CE-approved; however, the JJ CCR wing underwent a redesign that required another round of testing. Halcyon added a gusset to the wing, allowing the lift capacity to be increased for CCR divers carrying a heavier bailout load. The JJ CCR wing now provides 42 lbs of lift capacity, previously designed with 32 lbs of lift. 

The Legend Wing is the newest double-cylinder wing offered in Halcyon’s buoyancy compensator line. The Legend’s new shape helps enhance a flat trim position, especially for those who experience difficulty in keeping their legs in position. Other unique features include enhanced positioning of accessory hoses and accelerated water drainage from the protective Cordura shell. Halcyon released the Legend wing earlier this year, and it has been well received in the global market with tremendous success.
