  • What gasses does your shop provide?

    Eight Diving can support all of your diving needs from recreational to technical diving. From GUE standard gasses to custom mixes, we can do it. We currently bank nitrox 32%, trimix 21/35, and offer quick turnaround times on custom blends.
  • Does your shop rent tech gear?

    We do have technical diving equipment available to rent. Please call the shop to discuss your needs prior to your arrival so that we can make it a seamless pickup!
  • Do I need to wear a drysuit in Puget Sound?

    While it is not required, it is highly recommended to wear a drysuit here in the PNW. Water temperatures range from 46f in the winter to 54f during the summer. Your dives will be much more enjoyable with the proper exposure protection while diving and during your surface intervals.
  • What can I expect to see in Puget Sound?

    Scuba diving in Puget Sound offers a captivating array of sights and experiences due to its unique marine environment. Colorful Marine Life: Puget Sound is teeming with vibrant marine species. Look for intricate sea anemones, colorful nudibranchs (sea slugs), and delicate feather duster worms. Kelp Forests: Dense kelp forests provide a lush underwater canopy, home to various fish species and invertebrates. Rocky Reefs and Structures: The region features a variety of rocky reefs and submerged structures that attract marine life. These reefs are bustling with small fish, crabs, and sea stars, providing excellent opportunities for close-up observations. Sunken Ships and Artifacts: Puget Sound is known for its maritime history, and you can explore several sunken ships and other historical artifacts.     We are located just south of downtown Seattle and one block away from the ocean! Eight is also about 10 minutes away from the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, making it a convenient stop for divers arriving in the area who want to gear up before heading out to explore Puget Sound.
