AGIR— A Scandinavian Diving Icon Enters a New Era Under Santi’s Wing

Published

AGIR, the legendary brand of technical and exploration diving equipment, was founded in 1991 by Tord Mattsen, at a time when the DIR philosophy was just emerging. Today is entering a new chapter in its history. Now under the ownership of the renowned Polish company SANTI, AGIR’s production has been relocated to Poland. This marks a fusion of Scandinavian heritage and engineering excellence with the precision and quality that SANTI is known for.

For years, AGIR has been synonymous with reliability and extreme durability. Its equipment has been designed and tested in the harshest environments—from the icy Scandinavian waters to demanding wreck and cave explorations. Trusted by technical divers worldwide, AGIR remains committed to its mission: delivering gear that can be relied on when every second counts.

“AGIR and SANTI share the same roots—the Baltic Sea. This sea shapes character and demands uncompromising quality. By acquiring AGIR, we are not just continuing its Scandinavian legacy but also enhancing it with our expertise in manufacturing equipment for the world’s most demanding divers,” says Tomasz Stachura, CEO of SANTI.

AGIR’s core values remain unchanged: simplicity, functionality, and reliability. The products will continue to be developed under the philosophy of “zero unnecessary extras—only maximum performance.” With production now based in Poland, divers can expect even greater craftsmanship and new technologies that will allow them to dive further, deeper, and safer.

This is not just a brand acquisition—it’s the evolution of AGIR into the future. A new era, but the same unchanging goal: creating equipment that never fails.

🔹 AGIR – gear for those who explore without compromise.
🔹 AGIR by SANTI – Scandinavian soul, Polish heart
